Allen C. Bechtel, 62, of Mohrsville, died Monday, November 5, 2012 in St. Medical Center, Bern Twp., after a short battle with cancer. He was the husband of Shirley (Quillman) Bechtel, who died in 1996. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna (Neuheimer) Bechtel. Allen worked for thirty-two years for Windsor Service, Reading. He enjoyed being at his hunting camp in Wellsboro. Surviving is one son: Scott A., husband of Jennifer L. (James) Bechtel, Mohrsville, and with whom he last resided; one grandson: Bryce J. Bechtel; one brother: Gary Bechtel, Leesport; and one sister: Cindy (Bechtel), wife of Rodney Kline, Dauberville. Allen was predeceased by a son: Charles A. Bechtel, died November 7, 2007. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
