Alfred "Al" Trivellini of Leesport, PA passed away on July 4, 2024 at Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.
Al was born on July 31, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA to parents George Trivellini and Lucy Rossi Trivellini. He spent his growing up years in Pineville, Bucks County, PA. Al is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon Walsh Trivellini; sister Jeanne Trivellini, Pineville, PA; brother Richard Trivellini (Judy), Warminster, PA; sisters-in-law Patricia L. Walsh, Overland Park, KS; Cheryl M. Walsh, Christine J. Tyre (Gerald), and Pamela Walsh, Atlanta, GA. Al also leaves behind 10 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews.
Al graduated from Council Rock High School, Buck County in 1967 and attended college at Emporia State University in Emporia, KS. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education there. He went on to complete a Masters program in Counseling and Psychology at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS.
Al began his career in education teaching art at the secondary level in both Kansas and Missouri for several years before turning to guidance counseling at the middle school level. Al spent 20 plus years as a Guidance Counselor at Wilson Middle School, West Lawn, PA. He retired in 2012.
Al enjoyed creating art and was a member of the Berks County Art Alliance where he participated in many shows and activities offered there. He has shown his work at several venues throughout Berks County, PA, including the Berks County Courthouse, Wilson School District Gallery, and the Highlands annual show. He was a long standing contributor to the yearly fundraising art auction at Humane Pennsylvania. Al worked in various media, including pottery, acrylic painting, water colors, and drawing with pastels, his greatest skill and passion. His work was mainly abstract figurative with emphasis on the human face and form.
Al and Sharon enjoyed traveling and had many wonderful trips to Europe after retirement. Al was an avid fan of the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers. He owned several vintage cars during his lifetime which gave him great pleasure. Al helped many young people in his years teaching and counseling and he cherished the satisfaction that brought him. He was a gentle, reserved, thoughtful and considerate person who was loved by all who had the good fortune to know him. He was a fantastic husband, brother, uncle and friend. His family and friends are heartbroken by his loss.
Arrangements are private and being handled by Leibensperger Funeral Home, Inc., Leesport, PA. Donations in Al's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org), or a charity of choice.
