Alan J. Dunkelberger, 68, of Mohrsville, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center after a short illness. He was the husband of Trina L. (Angelo) Dunkelberger. They were married March 2, 1984 and celebrated 41 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John G. and Mary Jane (Montz) Dunkelberger. He graduated from Reading High School in 1974. He worked at Carpenter Technology as a steelworker for over 30 years until retiring; during retirement he worked at Fine Wine and Good Spirits for approximately 10 years before fully retiring. He was a member of Shoemakersville and Leesport Fire Companies. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, watching the Phillies, and was an avid collector.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Tyler J. Dunkelberger, husband of Ashley L. (Hoffman), West Lawn, and Daniel J. Dunkelberger, husband of Hannah E. (Swerdloff), North Wales; a daughter: Amy L. (Dunkelberger) Hall, wife of Matthew, Bernville; and three grandchildren: Esther, Violet, and Oliver. He is also survived by a brother: John Valore, Renovo; a brother in law: Timothy M. Angelo, Morgantown, and a niece Emily Angelo. He was predeceased by a sister: Patricia (Valore) Wilson.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
