Adeline R. Miller, "Addie", 79, of Hamburg, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023 in Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg. She was the wife of James P. Miller. They were married in 1992.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was the daughter of the late Bertis Reichert and Florence (Ferrara) Reichert. Adeline was a 1961 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School. She first worked for CNA. Adeline then worked in administrative services for the Hamburg Center for many years. She attended Zion's Church, Windsor Castle. Adeline enjoyed volunteering with Berks Encore at the Hamburg Senior Center, and then the Strausstown Senior Center. She was a member of the Virginville Grange; an avid reader; and enjoyed doing puzzles; watching soap operas and Hallmark movies.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children: David A Heintzelman, Hamburg; and Connie L. (Heintzelman) Bohn, Hamburg; two step-children: Jaime O. Miller, husband of Cheryl, Clearwater, Florida; and Stephanie L. (Miller) Towles, wife of Erik, Reading; two grandchildren: Lindsey and Nicholas; three step-grandchildren: Elissa, Malik and Reba; and five step-great-grandchildren. Adeline is also survived by two sisters: Mae Bowers, Reading; and Helen Weller, Hollidaysburg. She was predeceased by a grandson: Vaughn I. Heintzelman; and two siblings: Bertis Reichert and Alice Stump.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 12:00 noon from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home on Friday 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
