A. Elaine Ferguson, 75, of Tilden Twp., passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of Pastor Duane F. Ferguson. They were married on June 12, 1960 and celebrated fifty-five years of marriage.
Born in Wadesville, Schuylkill Co., she was the daughter of the late Lawrell and Evelyn (Harrison) Miller. She was a 1958 graduate of Blue Mountain Academy, Tilden Twp. Elaine also attended Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan. She was the business manager for Blue Mountain Academy, working thirty years until her retirement on October 31, 2014. Elaine was very dedicated to her job and education. She was a member of Blue Mountain Academy Seventh-day Adventist Church. Elaine enjoyed going to Maine in the summer.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: Lowell T. Ferguson, and his wife Kathy,, Orlando, Florida; and David K. Ferguson, and his wife Caryl Lynn, Berrien Springs, Michigan; one daughter: Karyl L. (Ferguson), wife of Christopher Kramer, Spangle, Washington; and eight grandchildren: Garrett and Chandler Ferguson; Emily and Jonathon Carbonell-Ferguson; Alyssa and Isaac Ferguson; and Kristen and Kaitlyn Kramer. Elaine is also survived by one brother: Carl Miller, Orlando.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 pm from Blue Mountain Academy Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2363 Mountain Road, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held in the church Wednesday 12:30 to 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Worthy Student Fund, c/o Blue Mountain Academy, 2363 Mountain Road, Hamburg, PA 19526.
