Obituary for William D. Jones

William D. Jones, Jr., "Bill", 90, of Maidencreek Twp., passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in Lutheran Home at Topton surrounded by loved ones. He was the husband of Patricia A. "Pat" Kuchinos. They were married on February 26, 1983, and celebrated forty years of marriage.

Born in Tamaqua, he was the son of the late William D. Jones and Emma I. (Kramer) Jones Herring. Bill was a 1951 graduate of Tamaqua High School and attended Penn State University. For forty-two years he worked as a design engineer for Air Products and Chemicals, retiring in 1999. Although he traveled extensively and visited 16 countries, he had a fondness for NYC (and the Yankees). He was an avid cyclist, logging over 15,000 miles on his beloved Peugeot bicycle and was a member of the Lehigh Valley Wheelmen. A talented painter, he created wonderful masterpieces for his family using watercolors, acrylics and oils. He was also an avid photographer, taking thousands of pictures throughout his life. Music was a dominant force in his life, and he listened to an eclectic mix of artists on a daily basis. He also enjoyed sports cars and Harley Davidsons. For 15 years, and with the support of his wife, Bill was instrumental in establishing the Victory Riders Motorcycle Ministry at Glad Tidings. They later attended the Bridge Church in Hamburg.
