Thomas R. Rentschler, 59, of Tilden Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. He was the husband of Linda B. (Zweizig) Rentschler. They were married on May 31, 1986 and celebrated thirty-four years of marriage.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Lester and Hattie (Sunday) Rentschler. Tom was a 1979 graduate of Hamburg Area HIgh School. He was an area sales manager for Premier Select Sires. Tom was a lifetime member of Hamburg Bible Church. He enjoyed being at the farm and spending time with his family. Tom also enjoyed his work and being with people.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Laura (Rentschler), wife of Kevin Breckbill; their children: Kayleigh (5), Liam (3), Kiersty (2), and twins Lawson and Leon (5 mo.); Anthony Rentschler, husband of Jordan (Hoadley); their children: Korie (5) and Allie (2); and Zachary Rentschler. Tom is also survived by his siblings: Nancy (Rentschler), wife of Norman Riegel; Clair Rentschler, husband of Linda; Larry Rentschler; and Debra (Rentschler), wife of Randy Flammer; two nieces; five nephews; and his mother-in-law: Mary Ellen Zweizig, widow of Donald L. Zweizig.
Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Sunday 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Monday 9:30 am until time of service.
