Obituary for Shirley E.J. Wolfe

Shirley E.J. “Grandmom” Wolfe, 83, of Auburn, passed away peacefully in her residence surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Wilbur W. Wolfe. They were married October 24, 1953 and celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Born in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Edward) Greenzweig. Shirley was an Elvis fan. Shirley was a huge Elvis fan, even having visited Memphis 4 times. She enjoyed crafts and was very creative. In later years, she even enjoyed poetry.
Surviving in addition to her husband are five daughters: Suzanne E. (Wolfe) Rodriguez, wife of Efrain, Collegeville, Diana L. (Wolfe) Woodward, Pottsville, Jane L. (Wolfe) Freece-Murray, Oaks, Shirley E. (Wolfe) Warfield wife of Kenneth, Auburn, and Rhonda R. (Wolfe) Beard, wife of William, Birdsboro.; 17 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: John and Janet. She was predeceased by a daughter: Linda F. Wolfe in 2007 and her siblings: Julia, Marian, Raymond, Evelyn, and Cathlene.
Services will be held Monday, April 15, 2019 at 12:00 noon from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg, PA 19526 (off-street parking in rear). Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery, Slatington. A viewing will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the funeral home.
