Obituary for Roy C. Naftzinger
Roy C. Naftzinger, 75, of Perry Twp., passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in his residence. He was the husband of Linda J. (Read) Naftzinger. They were married on March 13, 1976 and celebrated forty-seven years of marriage.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Walter and Ellen (Price) Naftzinger. Roy worked as an auto mechanic for Francis L. Werley, Inc., Hamburg. He was a member of St. John's Church, Port Clinton. Roy enjoyed camping and NASCAR. He especially enjoyed watching his grandsons play baseball and his granddaughters dance; and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Timothy R. Naftzinger, Blandon; Christy L. (Naftzinger) Bailey, companion of Jeffrey Blantz, Shoemakersville; and Jason R. Naftzinger, companion of Helen McKibbin, Easton; three grandchildren: Ethan, Emily and Violet; six step-grandchildren: Evan, Tammie, Jeff, Jr., Natalie, Jeremy and Jesse; and two step-great-grandchildren: Hunter and Paisley. Roy is also survived by his siblings: Eileen Wilson, wife of John, Blandon; David Naftzinger, Hamburg; Ruth Rhoads, wife of Ronald, Hamburg; James Naftzinger, husband of Marion, Schuylkill Haven; and Paul Naftzinger, husband of Judy, Port Clinton. He was predeceased by a sister: Sue Ellen Naftzinger.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
