Obituary for Roseanna Bower (Lukens)
Roseanna Bower, 85, of Perry Twp., passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 in St. Luke's Hospital- Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Lester L. Bower. He passed away on September 25, 2020.
Born in Gilbertsville, she was the daughter of the late Ernest R. and Dorothy M. (Mull) Lukens. She graduated from Perry High School in 1954. She was a member of St. Paul's (Smoke) Church, Windsor Twp. Roseanna worked as an Embroiderer at Gilardone's in Virginville for 29 years, and later worked at Wendy's in Hamburg, last working in 2010. She was the former financial secretary for Virginville Fire Company, and former secretary of the fire company's Auxiliary. She enjoyed bingo, word search, and participating in church activities, and Sunday school.
She is survived by a son: Brian K. Bower, Edenburg; two grandchildren: Jeremy B. and Erin L. Bower; and a sister: Betty Rohrbach, Perry Twp. She was predeceased by a daughter: Peggy L. (Bower) Heffner; and two brothers: Ernest, Jr., and Harold Bower.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in St. Paul's (Smoke) Cemetery.
