Obituary for Ronald J. Bordner

Ronald J. Bordner, 76, of Perry Twp., passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of June M. (Blankenbiller) Bordner, who died April 16, 2017.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Arthur Bordner and Carrie (Graham) Brown. Ronald was a graduate of Fleetwood High School. He worked for Brush Wellman as a machine operator. After retirement, he owned and operated Bordner's Tree Farm, Perry Twp. Ronald was a big game hunter, hunting in the U.S. and Canada. He was a horticulturist. Ronald enjoyed fishing, trapping, trapshooting, his Corvette, car shows, outings, listening to music and spending time with his family. He was a life member of The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and a founding member of the Pennsylvania chapter; life member of the NRA, member and trustee of Perry Game Association; member of Lenhartsville Fish and Game; member of Keystone Carnival Glass Club. Ronald was also a member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA), winning a few events.
Ronald is survived by his daughter: Kimberly A. (Bordner) Hoare, Blandon; and two grandsons: Mason and Gavin. He is also survived by two sisters: Jacqueline A. Shuman and Pamela S. Petersheim; and one step-sister: Charlene Bishop. He was predeceased by a step-daughter: Sarah Fink; and three step-brothers: John, Brian and Tommy Brown.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 7:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc, 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 6:00 to 7:30 pm.
