Obituary for Robert E. Comer Sr.
Robert E. Comer, Sr., 82, of Ontelaunee Twp., passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 in his residence. He was the husband of Carol A. (Tittle) Comer. They were married on January 23, 1960 and celebrated sixty-two years of marriage.
Born in Shamokin, PA, he was the son of the late Leo and Stella (Gessner) Comer. Bob was a 1958 graduate of Reading High School. He worked as an Auditor for Lucent Technology. While working at Lucent, he was an active volunteer for the United Way; and a member of the camera club. Bob was a life member of Temple Fire Company and a member of Leesport Rod and Gun Club. Bob had the gift of gab and would talk to anyone who crossed his path. He enjoyed candle making, photography, playing the harmonica, Ginger Brandy, vacationing at Rehobeth Beach and "Family Day". He was an Ole Coal Cracker who loved Jesus.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter: Suzanne M. Seidel, wife of Eric, Hamburg; daughter-in-law: Wendy Comer, Blandon; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Bob was predeceased by a daughter: Sherri A. Faust; a son: Robert E. Comer, Jr.; and a sister: Roxine Youse.
