Obituary for Patricia A. Hummel (Kunkel)
Patricia A. Hummel, "Patsy", 80, of Lenhartsville, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 in Cornerstone Living, New Tripoli. She was the wife of Clark H. Hummel, who died September 29, 1999.
Born in Kutztown, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Pauline (Stern) Kunkel. Patsy was a 1959 graduate of Kutztown High School. She was a member of Salem E.C. Church, Lenhartsville. Patsy was very active and enjoyed her church. She enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, cooking, baking and helping with Meals On Wheels. She was very generous and thoughtful. She was a member of the Red Hats. Patsy also enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, and supporting her grandchildren in their sporting events. She especially loved her family and spending time with them.
Patsy is survived by her four daughters: Laurie L. Hummel; Leslie A. Hummel-Hontz, wife of Jeffrey Hontz, Orefield; Lois J. (Hummel), wife of Tim Peters, Windsor Twp.; and Lisa M. (Hummel), wife of Dave Kauffman, Centre Twp.; thirteen grandchildren: Seth, Chad, Amanda, Jeremy, Matthew, Merissa, Katrina, Ashley, Emily, Joshua, Malachi, Tyrus, and Kalika; ten great-grandchildren; and two more expected in January. She is also survived by two sisters: Sandra (Kunkel), wife of Gene Maderia, Kutztown; and Cyndi (Kunkel), widow of Scott Kershner, Shoemakersville. Patsy was predeceased by a brother: Larry Kunkel.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Dunkel's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Salem E.C.
