Obituary for Myrl M. Seigfried (Stoudt)

Myrl (Stoudt) Seigfried, 98, formerly of Hamburg, passed away on March 26, 2021 at Country Meadows, Wyomissing. She was the widow of Clark Seigfried, a World War II veteran, who passed away on June 8, 2011. They shared 67 wonderful years of marriage together.
Born July 5, 1922 in Mohrsville, she was the daughter of the late David and Edith (Miller) Stoudt. She was a graduate of Ontelaunee High School, Leesport.
Myrl is survived by a daughter, Ruth Himmelberger and her husband Bernard; two grandchildren, grandson Brent Himmelberger and his wife Cristen; and granddaughter Amy Himmelberger; two great-grandchildren, Carson and Brayden Himmelberger; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Jean Shollenberger and an infant sister.
Myrl loved to spend time with her family. She and her husband Clark were co-owners of Seigfried's Seafood at Fifth and State Streets in Hamburg for 30 years. Myrl and Clark traveled around the country and in their later years enjoyed spending winters in Florida.
Myrl was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hamburg. She loved to sew from the time she worked at the Crown Knitting Mills in Mohrsville, as well as many years of making quilts at St. John's Lutheran Church, Hamburg, for those in need.
Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Friday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
