Obituary for Mya J. Heckman
Mya J. Heckman, 23, of Hamburg passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 16, 2023.
Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of Rebekah L. Heckman, Hamburg; and the late Sherman L. Hargrave, Reading. Mya was a graduate of Hamburg Area High School. Throughout her childhood, she participated in soccer, basketball, track, orchestra and chorus. She was an avid animal lover having many pets over the years and loving all animals who crossed her path.
Surviving in addition to her mother is her brother: Javion L. Heckman; and her sister: Sophia L. Robinson. Mya is also survived by her maternal grandfather: Terry L. Heckman; maternal grandmother: Dianne (Henn) Veljasevic; paternal grandmother: Debra (Speas) Markowski; paternal grandfather: Randolph Hargrave, Sr; aunt: Christine Heckman-Spano; godmother: Kelly M. (McCauley) Breon; uncles: Randolph Hargrave Jr, Timothy Hargrave and Darkenya Markowski; aunts: Gracie (Hargrave) Tatem and Consoloe (Markowski) Martinez; and cousins. She was predeceased by her godmother: Lindsay C. (Johnson) Crespo.
A viewing will be held at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 pm with a time for sharing remembrances of Mya at 8:00 pm.
