Obituary for Morris E. Hepner

Morris E. Hepner, 95, of Hamburg, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Betty J. (Mogel) Hepner, who died August 9, 1993.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Emory W. and Emma K. (Cupp) Hepner. Morris was a graduate of Wilson High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Morris was the owner and operator of Hepner's Glass Shop in Hamburg, working until he was 92. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Morris was a life member of Vaux Lodge #406 F. & A.M., Hamburg; Rajah Shrine and Consistory; and a former member of the Hamburg Jaycees. He was a former member of the Hamburg Borough Council and the borough water authority. Morris enjoyed bowling, golfing, and family vacations to Florida and Las Vegas.
Morris is survived by his children: Marcy E. (Hepner), wife of Steve Capozello, Sinking Spring; Brad M. Hepner, Hamburg; and Kathy L. (Hepner), wife of Keith Yoder, Hamburg; five grandchildren: Brett Stefan, Stacy Heffner, Kali Hepner, Brad Hepner, Jr., and Bryan Reinsel; four step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear).
