Obituary for Miles A. Kemmerling
Miles A. Kemmerling, 97, of Tilden Twp., passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in ManorCare, Laureldale. He was the husband of Grace I. (Stamm) Kemmerling, who died July 13, 2020.
Born in Weisenberg Twp., Lehigh Co., he was the son of the late Fred W. Kemmerling and Mamie N. (Bond) Kemmerling Anglemyer. Miles worked as a mechanic for twenty-eight years for Schlenker Motors, Hamburg. He last worked as a guard at Pennsylvania Steel, Hamburg. Miles enjoyed going to the Dude Ranch in New York. He also liked horseback riding and going out for breakfast and dinner.
Miles is survived by his children: Barbara A. (Kemmerling), widow of Kenneth Grimes, Upper Tulpehocken Twp.; and Larry M. Kemmerling, husband of Sandy, Temple; three granddaughters: Jennifer Grimes, Lori Shakespeare, and Wendy Drake; and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two step-sons: Cory M. Seaman, husband of Kathy, Jefferson Twp.; and Craig L. Seaman, husband of Elaine, Lake Wynonah. Miles was predeceased by a grandson: Jonathon Grimes; two step-daughters; two brothers; and two sisters.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am from New Bethel Cemetery, 135 New Bethel Church Road, Kempton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, #250, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
