Obituary for MaryEllen Zimmerman (Hoffman)
MaryEllen Zimmerman, 80, formerly of Centre Twp., passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2022 in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Marvin K. Zimmerman, who died August 12, 2004.
Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Claude F. and Anna E. (Steininger) Hoffman. MaryEllen was a 1960 graduate of Penn-Bernville High School. She worked for Boyer's Food Market, Shoemakersville. MaryEllen was known for having a bluebird trail. She was an avid Phillies fan.
MaryEllen is survived by her children: Marykay E. Steinman (Rick), Reinholds; Marcey L. Caira (Stephen), Cape Cod, MA; and Gary L. Zimmerman (Wendi), Duvall, WA; three grandchildren: Shannon Igielski (Joseph); Desiree Jerome; and Joshua Zimmerman; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Ralph Hoffman and Cleo Beidler. MaryEllen was predeceased by a grandson: Jeremy Gordon.
Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Monday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
