Marlene A. Kline, 81, of Greenwich Twp., passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East, Pottsville. She was the widow of Gerald R. Clay, passed away in 1972, and George D. Kline, Sr. passed away February 25, 2010.
Born in Bethel, she was the daughter of the late George and Blanche (Neil) Witters. She worked as a cook at Jak's Restaurant, Topton, until retirement. Marlene enjoyed baking, and keeping her family in line. With her husband George, they always enjoyed casinos, bingo, and festivals.
She is survived by a son: Barry L. Clay, Shoemakersville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister: Faye (Witters) Kintzel, Lebanon. She was predeceased by three sons: Jeffrey A. Clay, Gerald R. Clay, Jr., and Dean S. Clay; and a daughter: Cathy L. Clay.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 8:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (off-street parking in rear). A viewing will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the funeral home. Inurnment will be held in Richland Cemetery.
