Mark A. Schaner, 31, of Hamburg, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of Lisa M. (Shobe) Trayer; and step-son of Philip D. Trayer, Hamburg. Mark was a 2005 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and attended Reading Area Community College. He worked for McDonald's, Hamburg. Mark loved Pokemon Go and enjoyed walking everywhere, especially near the river. He was one of the brightest souls you would ever want to know. Mark would do anything for anyone, especially his mom and family. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
Mark is also survived by his siblings: Peter Trayer, Andrew Trayer, Kira Smith, Ryan Trayer, and Selena Dugan; maternal grandparents: Ernie Shobe, Sr., and Sandra (King) Sides; paternal grandfather: Vernon Schaner; seven nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles and those from the Schaner side of his family.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held on Friday at 5:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). A visitation with the family will be held on Friday 4:00 to 5:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to gofundme, search Mark Schaner Memorial Fund, to assist the family with final expenses.
