Lori L. Schappell and Dori A. Schappell, conjoined twins, 62, of Reading, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Born in West Reading, they were the daughters of Franklin G. Schappell, Perry Twp.; and the late Ruth G. (Reppert) Schappell. Lori and Dori both graduated from the Hiram G. Andrew's Center. Dori had a career as a country singer, performing throughout the United States; and Lori is a trophy-winning bowler. Lori and Dori cared about others and gave of their time for many years at the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon.
Surviving in addition to their father are six siblings: Rodney F. Schappell, Cumru Twp.; Denise E. Schappell, Perry Twp.; Dennis J. Schappell, husband of Lisa, Centre Twp.; Brenda R. (Schappell) Zellers, companion of Deric Henn, Tilden Twp.; Patti E. (Schappell) Cahill, wife of Dale, Geneva, OH; and Gregory C.
