Obituary for Larry E. Baer
Larry E. Baer, 73, of Perry Twp., passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023 in Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Kathleen B. (Blakeney) Baer. They were married on January 30, 1971 and celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Lester and Florence (Blatt) Baer. Larry was a 1968 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. He worked for Birch Hill Foundry and then for Carpenter Technology. Larry was a member of Zion's Church, Windsor Castle. He enjoyed working on antique cars, doing yard work, being outside at his garage, going to car shows and stock car races, and spending time with his grandchildren. Larry could always find something to fix and enjoyed helping others fix things.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Tina M. (Baer), wife of Kevin E. Line, Leesport; and Travis A. Baer (Tonya L. Winter), Temple; four grandchildren: Ryan Brennan (Kristin Leddy), Chelsea Brennan, Adriana Baer and Hadley Baer; and one great-granddaughter: Marion Brennan. Larry is also survived by his brother: Randy R. Baer (Linda Miller), Robesonia.
Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Friday 9:30 to 11:00 am.
