Obituary for Kenneth R. James
Kenneth R. James, 73, of Perry Twp., entered into eternal life with his Lord, and gained his wings on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 8:15 am in Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.
He was the son of the late Elizabeth (James) Lutz; and step-son of the late Sterling Lutz. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy M. (Wagner) James, whom he married on May 18, 1968; one daughter: Dawn L. (James) Tilden, wife of Thomas Tilden, Schuylkill Haven; two half-brothers: Michael Lutz and David Lutz; and two half-sisters: Lois (James) Berg; and Bonnie (Dougherty) Correll. Kenneth attended Schuylkill Valley High School. He was a member of Harvest Church, Fleetwood. Kenneth was a truck mechanic most of his life, working for several local truck companies. His last job was in parts at East Penn Manufacturing (Deka). In his younger years, he built jeeps to race, restored many cars, too many to remember. Kenneth was liked by those who knew him and was called upon often for help with car problems, always willing to give a helping hand. He was a "Mister Fix It."
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 1:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A visitation will be held in the funeral home Saturday 12:30 to 1:30 pm. No flowers please.
