Obituary for Joseph A. Ciccone

Joseph (Joe) Albert Ciccone, Jr., 90, of Jupiter, Florida,
formerly of New Hope and Allentown, Pennsylvania passed
away Saturday, December 19, 2020, surrounded by his
family.
He was born in 1930, in West Philadelphia, to Joseph
and Rose Ferello Ciccone. He is survived by his loving wife of
66 years, Norma Frank Ciccone, his sister, Marie Kolbe,
brother, Robert Ciccone, children Joseph, Michael, Cynthia
Ciccone Stellar, Timothy, seven grandchildren; and one great-
grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents, his
grandson, Timothy Ciccone, Jr., and his sisters, Rita Howells
and Nancy Cipolloni.
Joseph graduated from Overbrook High School in 1948, and
Pennsylvania Military Academy in 1952 with a degree in
Civil Engineering. After graduation, he joined his father's road
construction company, Joseph Ciccone & Sons, Inc. In 1958,
Joseph, his father, brother, Robert, and two brother-in-law’s
Sam Cipolloni & Gus Kolbe started Tohickon Stone Quarry
near Perkasie, PA. In 1970, they built an Asphalt Plant and
Joseph Ciccone & Sons, Inc. became one of the largest road
construction companies in Pennsylvania in the 60’s, 70’s and
80’s. In Joe's spare time he was a small airplane pilot, owning
his own helicopter and airplane. He had served as Chairman
of the Bucks County Airport Authority in the 1970s. Joe and
Norma lived in Lehigh, Bucks and Wayne Counties in
Pennsylvania as well as Broward and Palm Beach County,
Florida.
Joseph will be entombed in the Joseph Ciccone Family
mausoleum at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham
Township. Services will be private at the convenience of the
