Obituary for Jordan M. Snook

Jordan M. Snook, 34, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in Reading, he was the son of Ricky M. and Terri Z. (Zilles) Snook, Leesport. Jordan graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School in 2006, and later attended 2 years at Drexel University. He worked in the shipping and receiving department of Fromm Electric, Reading, last working July 2022. However, “you are not your job” and Jordan’s truest life work can be found in his writing. He enjoyed literature, movies, video games, and sports. He was a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Jordan also loved music and always shared his favorite artists with anyone who crossed his path.

Jordan thrived in simplicity and comfort. Twelve of his 34 years were spent aside his devoted Lady, Katie. They purchased a home in 2018 and abundantly filled it with collectible movies, books, video games and their three beloved fur babies, Banzai, Elsie and Beatrix. The most meaningful limited edition they built together was the dedicated relationship they shared and the love they danced around their living room floor to.

He is survived by the love of his life Kaitlin L. Bowers, Temple; a sister: Brianna L. (Snook) Morgan, Hamburg; paternal grandmother: Joan L. (Hoover) Snook, West Wyomissing; nephews: Elijah, and Lucah; niece: Lilah; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents: Frank and Dory (Ludwig) Zilles; paternal grandfather: Rodney M. Snook; and his cats Milo, Rizzo and Morti.

A celebration of life will be held at his childhood home on May 13th from 2-6pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to One by One Cat Rescue, https://1by1catrescue.org. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Leesport is in charge of arrangements. For online condolences, please visit www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com
