Obituary for Janet M. Houck (Young)
Janet M. Houck, 66, of Tilden Twp., passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 in her residence. She was the wife of Timothy P. Houck, Sr.
Born in Stuttgart, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Gladys J. (Schultz) Young. She graduated from Pottstown High School in 1973. Janet worked at Merkel's Shoewear, Gilbertsville for 33 years last working October 2022. She was a member of St. Paul's Church, Stowe. She ran a clothing and shoe stand at Green Dragon for 30 years. She enjoyed shopping, camping, hiking and going to the beach. She always enjoyed traveling, having been to Canada and out west, to name a few. She loved to play solitaire.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Lynnesa M. (Houck) Adams, Villas, NJ, and Chelsea J. Houck, companion of Bradley A. Stump, Schuylkill Haven; a son: Timothy P. Houck, Jr., husband of Nicole M. (Kristman), Tilden Twp; 8 grandchildren: Michael, Timothy, Abigaile, Gabrielle, Caden, Kyle, Alexandra, and Everley. She is also survived by her siblings: Alfred A. Young, Pottstown, Robert F. Young, Fleetwood, Doris E. (Schultz) Madaras, Pottstown, Cheryl A. Young, Pottstown, and Judy L. (Young) Walker, Pottstown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
