Obituary for Jane W. Humbert

Jane W. Humbert, 78, of Lower Alsace Twp., passed away in Complete Care of Berkshire on Friday, June 17, 2022.

Born in Windsor Castle, she was the daughter of the late Aaron Gundrum, and Mae C. (Adams) Werley. She graduated from Fleetwood High School in 1961. She was a member of Reformation Evangelical Lutheran Church. She worked for Jeffrey Bean and Gant as a sales clerk and assistant manager, before retiring in 2012. Jane was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years, a former secretary of church council and was a member of the church choir. She always enjoyed watching the Phillies, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son: Dana R. Humbert, Exeter; a daughter: Erica B. (Humbert) Sweigart, wife of Dave, Exeter; two grandchildren: Kayden Humbert and Allie Sweigart; three brothers: George Gundrum, husband of Darlene, Bill Gundrum, and Norman Gundrum, husband of Lorraine; and two sisters: Jean (Gundrum) Cooke, and Ruth Ann (Gundrum) Eyer, wife of Nelson. She is also survived by her husband: Dennis R. Humbert, Exeter. She was predeceased by a brother: Bobby Gundrum.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 11:00 am from Reformation Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the church.
