Obituary for Jane L. Hoffman (FIsher)

Jane L. Hoffman, 73, formerly of Leesport, a resident of Harvest View assisted living facility, Narvon, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 in the nursing home. She was the wife of Robert D. Hoffman. They were married December 7, 1968, and celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Born in Leesport, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Bertha (Herbein) Fisher, Sr. She graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School in 1968. Jane and her husband Bob owned and operated their business, Bob Hoffman's Garage, for 35 years, providing mechanical work, towing, and snow removal services; together they built a successful business. Jane was known for making you laugh and having a good time. She was an avid bingo player and ran her own bingo for many years. She was a dedicated coach for Girls Softball and a board member of the Leesport Area Athletic Association. She always enjoyed vacationing to Ocean City, Maryland, it was her happy place.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters: Christy J. (Hoffman) Liss, Cornelius, NC, and Jennifer L. (Hoffman) Myers, wife of William, Greensburg, PA; a step-daughter: Michele (Kantner) Quigley, Tampa, FL; two grandchildren: Kayla Quigley and Nathan Liss. She is also survived by a brother: Paul Fisher, Jr.; and three sisters: Mildred (Fisher) Reber, Irene (Fisher) Weand, and Rita (Fisher) Stufflet. She was predeceased by a sister: Rosie (Fisher) Eck.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 2:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held from 1:00 to 2:15 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: Greenfields Fire Company 2339 Bernville Rd.
