James I. Hendricks, 67, of Centre Twp., passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 in his residence. He was the husband of Janet S. (Breidegam) Hendricks. They were married July 4, 1981 and celebrated 39 years of marriage.

Born in Berks County, he was the son of the late John O. and Catherine E. (Schappell) Hendricks. He was previously employed by Hahn Motors, Hamburg in the finishing department until Hahn Motors closed. He later worked some construction jobs here and there. James enjoyed going to the Reading Phillies and liked to travel to the beach. He enjoyed clamming at the beach, and was an avid fan of Ford Mustangs. Jim loved his family and the family pets. He enjoyed gardening, playing horseshoes, and mini golf. He was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son: James T. Hendricks, at home, and Jill L. Hendricks, companion of Jeremy Spraut, Centerport. He is also survived by a brother: John D. Hendricks, Topton; and a sister: Charlotte D. (Hendricks) Grim, wife of Steven, Shoemakersville.
