James H. Adam, 88, of Perry Twp., passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Delores A. (Faust) Adam. They were married on March 31, 1956 and celebrated sixty-six years of marriage.
Born in Perry Twp., he was the son of the late Herman I. and Edith (Hein) Adam. He was born and raised in the same house he lives in today. James was a graduate of Perry High School. He was a life-long dairy farmer on the family farm. James was an active member of Zion's Church, Windsor Castle, where he was a deacon, elder, member of the choir, consistory, and several committees. Church was very important to him. He was a member of the PA Farm Bureau and a life member of Virginville Grange #1832. James enjoyed watching RFD-TV.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Christine A. (Adam), wife of David Williams, Swatara Twp.; James P. Adam, Perry Twp.; Cheryl L. (Adam) Lesher, Wayne Twp.; and Jan M. Adam, Perry Twp.; seven grandchildren: Erin, Joshua, Lauren, Jessica, Matthew, Adrien and Jacob; and four great-grandchildren: Bentley, Caleb, Ellis and Parker. James is also survived by two brothers: Dennis and Barry Adam. He was predeceased by a sister: Elaine Moyer.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from Zion's Church, 770 Zion's Church Road, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held in the church Wednesday 9:30 to 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to Zion's Church, at the above address.
