Obituary for Hope F. Lutz (Krell)
Hope F. Lutz, 85, of Upper Tulpehocken Twp., passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Edward W. Lutz, Jr., died November 29, 2017.
Born in Tamaqua, she was a daughter of the late William D. and Bertha M. (Hoffman) Krell. She graduated from Ontelaunee High School in 1953. Hope was a member of Frieden's Church, Shartlesville. She had worked as a waitress at K&M Burger Ranch, and Eva's Sandwich Shop, both in Upper Bern Twp., and also Olde 22 Inn, Upper Tulpehocken Twp. She was a member of the Shartlesville and Strausstown Fire Companies. She enjoyed bingo, and NASCAR racing, especially Joey #22! She also liked to eat at Blue Mountain Family Restaurant.
She is survived by her children: Gregory Scott Lutz, husband of Patty D. (Miller) Lutz, Leesport; and Cindy K. (Lutz), wife of Jack Hillman, Upper Tulpehocken Twp.; one granddaughter: Katie Hillman, Schuylkill Haven; one great-granddaughter: Amber; and a great-grandson: Stevie. She was predeceased by her siblings: Billy, Donald, Jean, Fern, Dolores, and Kitty.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 am from Frieden's Church, 28 Wolf Creek Rd. Shartlesville, PA 19554. Burial will follow in Strausstown Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: Frieden's Church at the above address.
