Harold R. Wagner, "Harry", 82, of Leesport, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022 in his residence. He was the husband of Sandra M. (Stoudt) Wagner. They were married on January 10, 1959 and celebrated sixty-three years of marriage.
Born in Penn Twp., he was the son of the late Charles C. and Katie I. (Hoy) Wagner. Harold worked for PennDOT as an equipment manager, truck driver and field supervisor. He then worked as a truck driver for Venezia Transport; and currently worked for Berman Truck Group, Leesport. Harold was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp. He was also a member of Central Berks Fire Company, Centerport; Shoemakersville Fire Company; Berks Co. Fireman's Association; Perry Game Association; and Leesport Gun Club. Harold enjoyed hunting, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, playing poker and Texas hold'em.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Sharon A. (Wagner), wife of Brian Spatz, Perry Twp.; and Nevin E. Wagner, husband of Patricia Mellor, Kutztown; six grandchildren: Bryan, Justin, Stephanie, Jennifer, Tracey and Kenny; and seven great-grandchildren. Harold is also survived by two sisters: Phyllis Long, Centre Twp.; and Nancy James, Perry Twp. He was predeceased by a son: Russell Alan Wagner, died February 16, 1961; one brother: Clayton C. Wagner; and one sister: Sandra Wagner.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
