Grace M. Leibensperger, 94, formerly of Windsor Twp., passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Maidencreek Place, from complications of COVID-19. She was the wife of Victor F. Leibensperger, who died March 13, 2017.
Born in Tilden Twp., she was the daughter of the late Alvin C. and Helen (Fink) Kershner; and step-daughter of the late Erma A. (Fritz) Kershner. Grace worked as a sewing machine operator for Wright's Knitting Mill, Hamburg. She attended Zion's Church, Windsor Castle. She was a member of the Shoemakersville Senior Citizens. Grace enjoyed bingo, casino trips, and gardening. Grace would make afghans and sell them to Farmer Browns.
Grace is survived by one son: Rodney K. Leibensperger, and his wife: Sherry E. (Fink) Leibensperger, Muhlenberg Twp.; one brother: Paul Kershner, husband of Dottie, Windsor Twp.; one sister: Jean Rhoads, wife of Paul, Tilden Twp.; two nephews: Ronald and Richard; and three nieces: Kim, Kelly and Bonnie. She was predeceased by a brother: Glenn Kershner.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 noon from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Wednesday 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Zion's Church, 770 Zion's Church Road, Hamburg, PA 19526.
