Obituary for Grace S. Groff (Kline)
Grace S. Groff, 85, of Tilden Twp., and formerly of Shoemakersville, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in her residence. She was the wife of Ralph L. Groff. They were married on February 25, 1956 and celebrated sixty-five years of marriage.
Born in Shoemakersville, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Myrl (Keim) Kline. Grace was a babysitter for many families and her own over the years. She was a member of the Shoemakersville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Grace loved playing cards and parcheesi with her niece Shirley Wagner and going out to eat with her niece Minerva Hoppes and sister-in-law Gloria Kauffman. She also loved going to Alburtis Park, summer carnivals, fairs and picnics for music and fun with her friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children: Michael S. Groff, husband of Linda (Fox) Groff, Rockland Twp.; and Bonnie L. (Groff) Bailey, wife of Kerry Bailey, Tilden Twp.; two grandchildren: Tabitha (Bailey) Seitzinger, wife of Cole Seitzinger; and Travis Bailey, husband of Megan (Brownmiller) Bailey; and three great-grandchildren: Layton, Karsen and Gracie Seitzinger. Grace was predeceased by her siblings: George, Richard and Robert Kline; and Fern Burkert. Grace will be missed by her cat T.G.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
