Obituary for George F. Marcincin

George F. Marcincin, 66, of Ontelaunee Twp., passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in Penn State Health St. Joseph. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Stoudt) Marcincin. They were married on July 17, 1976 and celebrated forty-six years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Frank Joseph and Jane Emma (Meitzler) Marcincin. George graduated from Oley High School in 1974 and attended Lincoln Technical Institute and Penn State. He worked as a forklift operator and material handler for Thermo Fisher Scientific. George was a member of Zion's Spies Evangelical Church. He was a member of USCS, Universal Ship Cancellation Society, which is an organization dedicated to the collection and study of mail and postmarks from ships. He was a former member of the Blandon Lions Club. George was an assistant scout leader for Troop 103, Fleetwood. He enjoyed trains and collecting mail and postmarks through the USCS.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one son: Kyle M. Marcincin, husband of Kaitlyn, Mertztown; daughter-in-law: Shelia Marcincin; five grandchildren: Teresa, Harley, Jaicen, Mervin and Lucy. George is also survived by his siblings: Sandy Dinger, Reading; Jo-Ann Marcincin, Temple; and Michael Marcincin, Reading. He was predeceased by a son: George M. Marcincin, who died April 12, 2021.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Tuckerton.
