Obituary for Fern A. Good (Rubright)
Fern A. Good, 96, of Edenburg, Windsor Twp., passed away in her residence on Thursday, October 12, 2023. She was the wife of Donald H. Good, who died July 21, 1984.
Born in Windsor Twp., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Clara (Rothermel) Rubright. She owned and operated Pop's Dinette, Hamburg, for twenty-seven years. Fern was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. She was also a member of the Shoemakersville Senior Citizens, Hamburg Senior Citizens, and proudly delivered Meals On Wheels for ten years. Fern was a practical joker. She enjoyed crafts such as doll and pin making. She was an avid supporter of animal rescues.
Fern is survived by her children: Douglas A. Good, husband of Brenda, Rehoboth Beach, DE; Timothy D. Good, husband of Brenda, Perry Twp.; and Tina L. (Good), wife of Scott Hoffert, Greenwich Twp.; two grandchildren: Kelly (Good), wife of Dale Hartz; and Toby Good; and six great-grandchildren: Zaiden, Carter, Jackson, Kourtnee, Cameron and Cooper. She was predeceased by two grandchildren: Erica Hoffert and Cory Hoffert; five brothers: Norman, Elmer, Sterling, Harold and Russell Rubright; and two sisters: Kathryn Hoffman and Frances Weidman.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to an animal rescue of your choice.
