Obituary for Esther R. Spayd (Henne)
Esther R. Spayd, 91, of Tilden Twp., passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in the Laurel Center, Tilden Twp., where she resided. She was the wife of Stuart M. Spayd, who died on January 8, 1995.
Born in Shartlesville, she was the daughter of the late Charles Henne and Clara (Stoyer) Roeder Henne. Esther was a member of Frieden's Church, Shartlesville. Her gentle soul made her love all animals and flowers.
Esther is survived by one brother: Charles Wilmer Henne, Leesport; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter: Cynthia Jean Spayd, who died October 3, 2017; sisters: C. Viola Yoder, Verna Braucher, Mamie DeWald, Edna Reinsel, and Mabel Henne; and brothers: Earl Roeder, Warren Henne and Willis Henne.
Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in Frieden's Cemetery, Shartlesville.
