Obituary for Edna V. Kiefer (Troxell)
Edna V. Kiefer, 89, of Centre Twp., passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Robert Kiefer, who died December 24, 1981.
Born in Ontelaunee Twp., she was the daughter of the late Maberry and Alice M. (Herring) Troxell. Edna was a 1952 graduate of Ontelaunee High School. She worked as a dietary aide for the Berks Heim for twenty-three years, retiring in 1992. Edna then worked as a dishwasher in the restaurant at Pat Garrett's, Strausstown. She was a member of the Shartlesville Fire Company; Central Berks Fire Co. and beneficial association, Centerport; and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Shoemakersville Fire Company.
Edna is survived by her caregiver and friend: Sheila Knepp.
Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will be in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery, Ontelaunee Twp.
