Donald L. Kerchner, 64, of Greenwich Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 2, 2022 in his residence. He was the husband of Diane M. (Zweizig) Kerchner. They were married on April 25, 1986 and celebrated and celebrated thirty-six years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of Marian M. (Hollenbach) Mengel, Hamburg; and the late Abner A. Kerchner. Donald was a 1976 graduate of Kutztown High School. He has been a farmer since 1985, operating Kerchner's Corner. Donald also worked for Scholl Orchards in Kempton. He was an active member of the Goschenhoppen Historians, Green Lane, PA; a member of the PA Dutch Fersommling; and Vaux Lodge #406 F. & A.M., Hamburg. Donald loved to eat ice cream; and enjoyed antiques, public sales, old postcards; and arrowhead hunting.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two daughters: Katie M. Kerchner and Rachel M. Kerchner, both of Greenwich Twp.; one brother: William A. Kerchner, Hamburg; one sister: Doris M. Kerchner, Marietta, Georgia; and a niece: Jessica N. (Kerchner) Wagner, Hamburg.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Wednesday 9:30 to 11:00 am.
