Obituary for Dennis J. Reber

Dennis J. Reber, 71, of Temple, passed away peacefully in his residence on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 with his family by his side. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Frankhouser) Reber. They were married on October 1, 1966 and celebrated fifty-one years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of Mabel M. (Strausser) Reber, a resident of ManorCare, Laureldale; and the late Joy A. Reber. Dennis worked as a welder for Wolfe Dye and Bleach and Hill Manufacturing. He also worked for Henne Landscaping and Berks County Memorial Gardens. He was a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. Dennis was a member of the former Shoemakersville Jaycees and a member of the Pikeville Sportman's Association. He enjoyed going to car shows with his truck, going to casinos and out to eat at buffets. Dennis was a member of the Country Western Dancers of Reading. He loved his candy and the Disney character "Tigger".
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two daughters: Denise A. (Reber), wife of Scott Paine, Fleetwood; and Michelle L. Reber, Ashland; six grandchildren: Richard Rothermel, Jr.; Jennifer L. Rothermel; Vanessa Paine; Michael Dietrich; Ashley Dietrich; and Kevin Reinhard; four great-grandchildren: SarahLynn, Makayla, Daltyn and Jax; and a fifth great-grandchild: Madison, expected in October. Dennis was predeceased by a daughter: Annette M. Dietrich. He is also survived by a brother: Terry L. Reber, and his wife Suzanne, Shoemakersville.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 2:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp.
