Obituary for Dennis P. Krushinskie Sr.

Dennis P. Krushinskie, Sr., 78, of Muhlenberg Twp., and formerly of Potter County, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in Berks Heim. He was the husband of Carolyn A. (Kokoles) Krushinskie.
Born in Shamokin, he was the son of the late Vincent and Rose (Basalego) Krushinskie. Dennis was a U.S. Army veteran, serving two tours during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Army as a Major after twenty years of service. He then worked for First Energy for eighteen years; and last worked as a state park ranger in Potter County for nine years. Dennis was a very active outdoorsman.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Dennis P. Krushinskie, Jr., husband of Kathleen, South Grafton, Massachusetts; Roseann M. Snyder, Hamburg; David J. Krushinskie, husband of Jacqueline, Newberry, Florida; Rachel C. Peters, fiance of Ronald Lutz, Muhlenberg Twp.; and "adopted" son: Michael L. Heintzelman, Muhlenberg Twp.; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Dennis is also survived by two sisters: Anna Bridy, DeWitt, New York; and Agnes Krushinskie, Shamokin. He was predeceased by siblings: Sandra and Ronald.
A visitation with the family will be held on Thursday from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
