Obituary for Dennis George Hermansader
Dennis George Hermansader, 73, of Blandon, passed away, Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center.
He was the beloved husband of Karen M. (Wert) Hermansader, who he married September 27, 1969.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late George and Kathryn (Kaley) Hermansader.
Dennis attended Hamburg Area High School.
He was an U.S. Army veteran, serving as a heavy equipment operator in Germany and later in Vietnam.
Dennis worked at Reading Railroad for many years before starting his own business, Window's by Denny.
In addition to his wife Karen, Dennis is survived by two daughters, Heather, wife of Edward P. Hanna, DSW, Ontelaunee Township, and Vanessa Boyer, Blandon, and one son, Mathew Dennis Hermansader, Blandon. Three brothers: David, husband of Ellen Hermansader, Delaware; Robert, husband of Jan Hermansader, Hamburg; and James, husband of Kim Hermansader, Shoemakersville; and one sister; Kathy, wife of Robert Dunkleberger, Richmond, VA; and two grandsons, Evan and Samuel Boyer, both of Blandon, also survive him.
Dennis was predeceased by a grandson in 2008, Dustin L. Boyer.
Services will be held Monday, October 25, 2021, at 2:00 PM from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Salem-Berne United Brethren Cemetery.
