Obituary for Delores M. Seaman (Young)
Delores M. Seaman, "Lollie", 92, formerly of Centre Twp., passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 in Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg where she resided. She was the wife of Ralph D. Seaman, who died March 6, 2019.
Born in West Leesport, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Flossie O. (Anderson) Young. Lollie worked as a sewing machine operator for Globe Knitting Mill, Leesport; and Wright's Knitting Mill, Hamburg, until her retirement. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Leesport, where she was on the altar guild and fellowship committee. Lollie was also a member of Central Berks Lions Club and Blue Mountain Senior Citizens, Shartlesville. She enjoyed knitting, reading, baking and cooking.
Lollie is survived by her children: Donna M. (Seaman), wife of George Riegel, Hamburg; and Charles D. Seaman, Bern Twp.; son-in-law: Emory Delbo, and his wife Martha, Shoemakersville; three grandsons: Shawn Delbo, and his wife Melissa; Hank Hoover, and his wife Tonia; and Brad Hoover; two step-granddaughters: Amanda Mrenna, wife of John; and Candace Delbo; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister: Shirley A. (Young) Weist. Lollie was predeceased by a daughter: Joyce A. (Seaman) Delbo, who died January 25, 1992; and a daughter-in-law: Cheryl (Graybill) Seaman.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will be in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery, Ontelaunee Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
