David Emery Brickey, 82, of Hamburg, passed away on January 28, 2022. David was born on August 7, 1939 in Alton, Illinois. He served six years in the Navy in special forces during Vietnam and worked for the FAA until retirement. He spent considerable time in Colorado and Wyoming, loved his horses, played the bagpipes, and enjoyed reading.
David is survived by his wife, Nancy A. (Yost) Brickey, her daughter, Rochelle (Balthaser) Haller, Bernville; and his children, Michael Brickey, husband of Tina, Tulsa, OK; and Kristina (Brickey), wife of Mark Davis, Dallas, TX. He had nine grandchildren, Lauren (Brickey), wife of Josh Grant, Downingtown; Kara (Davis), wife of Drew Obenchain, Dallas, TX; Madalyn (Davis), wife of Jack Bennington, Norman, OK; Cayden, Esther, and Samuel Davis, all of Dallas, TX; Austin Balthaser, husband of Rebekah; Norris Carl; and Trevon Haller, all of Bernville. He had three great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Magnolia and Leighton Grant, all of Downingtown. David is predeceased by his parents, James Emery Paris Brickey and Esther Louise (March) Brickey, and his daughter, Melissa (Brickey) Galanos. The family will have a celebration of his life later this Spring to say, “So long”. Our hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ, who said, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16.
