Obituary for Cynthia L. Dobry

Cynthia L. Dobry, 70, of Hamburg, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the wife of Michael J. Dobry. They were married August 28, 2010 and celebrated 10 years of marriage last summer.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Percy R. and Marguerite I. (Smith) Rockel. She attended Catasauqua School District. Cindy was a former machine mechanic at the former Mailwell Envelope Company, Hanover Twp. She worked as Office Manager at Reading Boat Works from 1995-2016 until retirement. Cindy was a dedicated member of The Bridge Church, Hamburg. Cindy loved to eat lunch with friends, and chocolate chip cookies. She enjoyed reading, and faithfully read God’s Word daily. Cindy enjoyed serving at her church, and was known for her compassion and generosity. Anywhere there was a need, you would find Cindy ready to lend a hand. She loved animals and spending time at the beach, especially walking the boardwalk and enjoying Thrasher’s French Fries. She dearly loved her family, and especially her nieces and nephews.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a son: Timothy S. Fenstermaker, husband of Sadie, Wayne, MI; two grandchildren: Michael and Philip; a brother: Philip D. Rockel, husband of Cheryl, Northampton; and a sister: Tina M. (Rockel) Bachman, wife of Douglas A., Auburn. She was predeceased by a sister: Sally A. (Rockel) Kloiber, who passed away January 12, 2012.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 7:00 pm at The Bridge Church, 3561 Old Route 22, Hamburg, PA 19526.
