Obituary for Clarence P. Shollenberger

Clarence P. Shollenberger, 75, of Hamburg, passed away in his residence on Thursday, June 23, 2022. He was the husband of Linda J. (Graff) Shollenberger. They were married on September 19, 1970 and celebrated fifty-one years of marriage.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late John C. and Carolyn (Fritz) Shollenberger. He was a 1967 graduate of Hamburg Area High School and also graduated from the Industrial Management Institute in Reading. Clarence and his wife owned and operated Wash Pin Pals at Kitchen Kettle Village for twenty-two years. He also worked for Hamburg Area High School as a custodian until 2016. Clarence was a member of Zion's Church, Windsor Castle. He was previously a volunteer firefighter for Union Fire Company No. 1, Hamburg. Clarence enjoyed woodworking, photography and talking to people.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Gary P. Shollenberger, husband of Janice Shollenberger, Newmanstown; and Chris A. (Shollenberger) Blatt, wife of Leon C. Blatt, Tilden Twp.; four grandchildren: Alex Blatt, Sarah Shollenberger, Lucas Blatt and Eli Blatt; and two step-grandsons: Brad and Tyler Shanaman. Clarence is also survived by a brother: Ralph Shollenberger, husband of Lenore Shollenberger, Edenburg; and one sister: Renee (Shollenberger) Bressler, wife of Duane Bressler, Summit Station.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Zion’s Church, 770 Zion’s Church Road, Hamburg, PA 19526. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
