Obituary for Cheryl L. Comisac
Cheryl L. Comisac, 78, of Macungie, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. She was the wife of Ernest T. Comisac, who died November 24, 2019.
Born in Coaldale, Schuylkill Co., she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Dorothy (Beltz) Willing. Cheryl was a 1962 graduate of Tamaqua High School and a 1965 graduate of Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for the Hamburg Center and the Laurel Nursing Home, Hamburg. She attended Solomon's United Church of Christ, Macungie. Cheryl operated the adult day care at Zion's United Church of Christ, Hamburg, where she was a former member. She loved to volunteer and would be a counselor to many, always there to help another. She loved her granddaughters, her dogs and playing Mahjong.
Cheryl is survived by her children: Christopher E. Comisac, husband of Suzanne Comisac, Penn Twp., Perry Co.; and Jennifer F. (Comisac) Howanitz, wife of Thomas Howanitz, Low Hill Twp., Lehigh Co.; and four granddaughters: Katherine Comisac; Corin, Ashley and Lindsey Howanitz. She is also survived by a brother: Eugene Willing, and his wife Carolyn, Florida; and a sister: Diane S. (Willing) Jones, wife of Albert Jones, Wilmington, Delaware.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm from Solomon's United Church of Christ, 82 S. Church Street, Macungie, PA 18062, A visitation with the family will be held in the church Saturday 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm.
