Charles J. Richard, 86, of Perry Twp., passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.
Born in Temple, he was the son of the late George A. and Lucy (Penrose) Richard. He worked at Quaker Maid Kitchens as a Custom Cabinet Maker for 37 years before retirement. He enjoyed woodworking, riding motorcycle, fishing, playing cards, Parcheesi, and ice cream. Charles also enjoyed spending time with his best friend Red Saylor.
He is survived by a son: Ricky L. Richard and his wife Diane, Robesonia; two daughters: Patricia A. Richard, Allentown and Charlene L. Richard, Shoemakersville; four grandchildren: Heather, Rebecca, Daniel, and Melissa, seven great-grandchildren: Anna, Jesse Jr., Jeremiah, Charlotte, Olivia, Michael, and David. He is also survived by two brothers: Floyd and William Richard; and four sisters: Pauline Lockwood, Thelma Richard, Alice Grossman, and Pearl Salisbury. He was predeceased by three brothers: Alfred, Roy, and Lee Richard; and a sister: Elsie Keplinger.
