Obituary for Carole L. Imgrund (Bentz)
Carole L. Imgrund, 81, of Masonic Village- Elizabethtown, formerly of Leesport, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 in Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of Richard A. Imgrund. They were married September 1, 1962 and celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Born in Richland, PA, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy E. and Grace I. (Brown) Bentz. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1959. Carole was a member of Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Leesport. She worked as an accountant at Western Electric for approximately 20 years before retiring. She was a member of Reading Chapter #251 Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and playing cards with her friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: Alan D. Imgrund, husband of Colleen M. (Floden), Holliston, MA, and James W. Imgrund, husband of Sharon A. (Matarazzo), West Norriton, PA; three grandchildren: Alexandra Imgrund, and Jeremy and Brian Imgrund. She is also survived by a sister: Nancy S. (Bentz) Herrmann, wife of Thomas, Lititz.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be sent to: Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 102 Apple Street, Leesport, PA 19533.
