Obituary for Carl K. Guinther
Carl K. Guinther, 77, of Upper Tulpehocken Twp., passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp. He was the husband of the late Erma Z. (Richards) Guinther, died January 8, 2007.
Born in Longswamp Twp., he was the son of the late Clatus E. and Marie A. (Behm) Guinther. He graduated from Brandywine High School in 1962. He was a longtime member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp., and was recently a member of Freiden's Church, Shartlesville. He worked as a machinist for Textile, Progress Machine Works, Zacharias, and HayCo, last working for the past 20 years as a roll grinder at HayCo. Carl enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and cutting wood. He was a member of the Shartlesville Fire Company.
He is survived by three sons: Kenneth C. Guinther, husband of Pamela S. (Adams), Upper Tulpehocken Twp., Erik C. Guinther, husband of Scott Baver, Cressona, and Mark S. Guinther, husband of Deborah A. (Barbon), Hamburg; four grandchildren: Jordan, Wyatt, Colton, and Ciara; and one great-granddaughter: Ellie. He was predeceased by two sisters: Joyce (Guinther) Zweizig, and Anna (Guinther) Gruber.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 10:00 am from St. Michael's Church, 529 St. Michael's Road, Hamburg, PA 19526 Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 am in the church.
